Profile of Gerry Foskett
Gerry Foskett, Consultant with speciality in Electro-mechanical engineering
design and development. Gerry has over 25 years practical expertise and
experience of providing solutions in a wide variety of industrial sectors
including Telecommunications, Leisure, Automotive, Medical and Military
areas. He has undertaken a variety of different and difficult designs
from concept and initial CAD modelling through a rapid prototype such
as Stereo Lithography to produce a physical model, into the detailed engineering
with industrial design techniques, and final volume production. He has
specialist skills in electronic packaging and the use of extrusions, castings,
pressings, spinnings, injection moulding, laser and chemical milling,
vacuum and low pressure forming to complement his general mechanical engineering
knowledge. Gerry has built an extensive worldwide network of manufacturing
expertise and is particularly adept at cost reduction strategies by utilising
design for manufacture combined with overseas capabilities.
